In this video we show you how to run a simple telnet test to ensure that the receiving mail server is responding.
Video Steps
1. Open Command
Click on start and type in cmd, once it shows run it as administrator2. Enter command
At the elevated command prompt, type in the following: telnet mailserver 25 (replace mailserver with the one you want to check) and press enter. If you receive a 220 statement on the top of the screen you know that it is responding on that port.
